Text 5 Nov 10 notes

I got what I wanted, to travel more on business… However, it doesn’t leave me with a lot of me time… I guess getting what you want doesn’t always have its perks. I still like it though…

Text 11 Sep 2 notes Ten Years Ago… 9/11

Ten years ago I remember listening to the radio while getting ready for school, I remember hearing that the World Trade Center and Pentagon had been hit by airplanes. I turned on the TV and saw the second plane hit the second tower.

The horror I felt that day is something I will never forget, watching the buildings burn, people who jumping to their demise, buildings collapsing, people running in horror.

That day changed the views of the American people, it changed the world. On one side of the spectrum it brought out a sense of patriotism, on the other it taught people to blindly hate.

Today I say a prayer for those who are longer with us because of the events of 9-11 and the events in its wake. I also pray that one day the world will have peace and every person prosper.

Text 1 Sep 1 note People we meet…

Sometimes we meet people in life that seem like pretty decent people… then you peel back a couple of layers or they settle into their normal groove and turn out to be not so good to go.

What makes these people the way they are? Is it how they gain acceptance from people hoping that they’ve made a good enough impression that when they do ‘turn’ they will still be accepted?

A shiny turd is still a turd…

Not my best material tonight, but hey it was on my mind…

Sometimes you wonder, what if I did make that peanut butter and jelly sammich…

Text 1 Aug 9 notes Callsigns

Long ago there was a PFC that called me Lil Nuner… a play on my last name… a play that I found rather offensive. Reason I was offended by it is the fact that I know where my name comes from my ancestors may be Vasco Nunez de Balboa or Cabeza de Vaca Nunez.

I would understand more if the kid was calling me “Nooner,” but that isn’t he case. Nooner (as made famous by Al Bundy): Having a quickie at noon with your spouse on your lunch break. However, that wasn’t the case.

It’s one of the few things in this world that set off a short fuse that’s been dowsed for years…

Sometimes you wonder what if? Sometimes that drives you crazy…
